How to whitelist in TrendMicro
If your company is using TrendMicro HES (Hosted Email Security), you will need to whitelist KnowBe4's IPs to allow our phishing and training-related emails through to your end users. You can also whitelist by our mail server domains in this area, although we recommend IP in most cases.
To ensure mail from KnowBe4 will reach your users, you will want to create a new Inbound Protection policy which whitelists our three IP addresses. This new policy will allow any inbound mail flow originating from those three IP addresses to bypass your HES filtering.
Step 1) Start at your Inbound Protection settings screen. Click on Policy, then click on "+Add".
Step 2) Under Basic Information, enter a name for the rule, such as "KnowBe4 Whitelisting".
Step 3) Under Recipients and Senders, click the Recipients drop-down, and ensure "Anyone" is selected. Then click the Senders drop-down, and ensure "Anyone" is selected. Lastly, click the "Senders Exceptions" drop-down, and add our three IP Addresses as shown below:
Step 4) Under Scanning Criteria, ensure "No Criteria" is selected.
Step 5) Under Actions --> Intercept, choose "Deliver now".
Step 6) Click Submit.
Note that the Policy screen will show you a list of all of your policies and the order in which they will run. If you have difficulties with your whitelisting set-up, please feel free to contact our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
