Managing your Timezones
Time zones are only used when an administrator creates a phishing campaign. This means that if an admin is set to Pacific Time, and he creates a campaign that should go out at noon, the campaign will go out at noon pacific time for every user in the console. Even if an individual user is set to a different time zone (say, Eastern or Central).
Again to clarify: the only time a user’s time zone comes into effect, is when the user is an Administrator and they create a phishing campaign. For all intents and purposes, a regular non-admin user’s time zone has no bearing on any feature of the product at this point and can be left to whatever zone they are in, which is usually the time zone of the administrator that originally imported them.
The only time you may need to change a user’s time zone is if you plan on promoting that user to an administrator to send out phishing campaigns.
To change a user’s time zone, go to the user’s area, find the user you wish to change, then click the down arrow on the right-hand side of the screen and click “Edit”.
If you wish to have phishing tests go out at the same local time across multiple time zones, it is recommended that you create groups based on the local time zone of the users and scheduling phishing campaigns based on the specific groups.
